I haven’t decided whether or not this should be included in my Containment map yet. If not it will be used as a generic hallway prefab for NS2Devs.

For those of you who wish to know, the latest SDK Build has been released for those of us that Pre Ordered Natural Selection 2 (Yay).

I’m still currently downloading the installer, coming in at a whopping 7.7GB, my speed has now dropped to a shoddy 532.4 kB/s and im only at 4.4GB. Guess this is going to be an over nighter. Never mind, guess I will just have to do some quality control during the day tomorrow.

Also means I can’t do much with my connection for the evening, oh the joy of living in the middle of nowhere and having crap connections.

In other news, I have managed to get a little bit of work done on Containment. I have been working on the Storage Room today, which is nowhere near complete worryingly, considering the amount of time that has gone in to it!

As you can see, it still needs quite a few props added, the fan in the ceiling isn’t yet lighted correctly, some of the Storage Crates are also going to be doubled up in size to create a more creepy atmosphere. The floor needs some proper grating added rather than just the texture, and a load of Cable and pipe work are going to be added to the ceiling.

So there it is as it stands so far!

2. Two new screenshots of Containment

The time has finally come, Unknown Worlds has finally managed to fix all glitches for the GeForce 7 Series cards. Well, they have for me. Their latest release is Build 131.
This means that there will no longer be funny lines all over my screenshots and the shadows from my lighting and texturing will show properly.

Second for the evening is two new screenshots of Containment. I was hoping to finish all the BSP Mapping for Containment today, but alas many things have been happening throughout the day. But I did manage to get a small portion done to the basic level.

Please keep in mind, these following screenshots do not have the lighting or textures in the right place, and only the most simple of props have been added to show the nature of the room / hall.

Firstly,
Item number 1. 17 New Visitors.

I decided to have a quick nose at my Google Analytics this morning and see how yesterday turned out. Not too bad as it go’s, with 17 New Unique visitors to my blog. Not a bad thing to see I guess. All I need to do now is increase that number a couple of times over, and get you clicking on my adverts . And maybe start donating to the cause, but all will come in time!

Item number 2. Templar Updates.

Zealot has been working hard on his map Templar to bring some pretty amazing screenshots since the last post. The sign’s have been updated and the final ones chosen for him to import into the editor (and they look pretty swish).

Also some screenshots of the new hallway’s, of which this shot is pretty great;

As you can see, there have been some considerable changes in some places.

Number 2 on the Agenda is the hilarious sign attached to Sainsbury’s bread shelves.

“Due to adverse weather conditions, there is an industry shortage of sliced bread. Our bakery is supplying fresh bread and our staff would be happy to help.”

I’m guessing bread slicers don’t work during snowy times…

After being forced to play Snap repeatedly by my daughter, I soon come to realise…

(and yes WordPress that is spelled right, as I am English) that Snap is actually quite fun, even for a 24 Year Old.

On top of this, “Zealot’s” current mapping project “Templar” is coming on wonders with new screenshots being added almost daily. He also recently created some of his own textures for use in the map in the shape of “Zone Signs”. Quite excellent work if you ask me.

As for my mapping progress, there will be some updates later on this evening. And no doubt some stupid news after being out around town.

This is going to be a place for me to document my progression with my mapping using Spark, my graphics editing and my personal projects. Of which there are numerous going on at the moment.
